Education is very important process for the refinement of an individual. However, it is not just limited to students, and teachers; parents, local government bodies, school infrastructure, learning environment and learning tools, influence the degree of successful impartation of education.
For addressing these multiple factors, RISE has begun several steps in collaboration with the stakeholders.

Infographics Mission Melghat has been implemented in 132 villages out of 317 villages in eastern Melghat (41% reach)
● Shiksha Setu
This project provides financial and educational aid to economically disadvantaged tribal students, covering accommodation, meals, and class arrangements. The concept behind this project is to promote participation of tribal students in seeking knowledge, Science and Technology. Aid is provided for courses like nursing, skill development, for seeking employment in the forest department, police department, etc. This help is not provided through direct financial incentives, but by setting up systems to deliver essential resources. However, due to lack of resources we are unable to aid promising individuals. We appreciate your support in any form for this project.
Melghat chapter of this effort is called Mission Melghat. Mission Melghat encourages public participation in the process of education. The participation of teachers, parents, officials and policy experts helps to create a conducive environment for education at home, school and community level, thereby, enhancing the quality of education, educational facilities like school, stationery and mid-day meal, etc.
● Kal Ke Liye (For Better Tomorrow)
Education should not only be a means of employability, it should nurture an individual’s potential, develop life skills, shape their personality and values. For achieving this, RISE conducts workshops for students as well as teachers, covering topics like career guidance, study skills, classroom management, quality education, time management, etc.
● Shabdankur
Many schools in tribal areas lack library facilities and are devoid of new and varied books. Under this project libraries have been set up in 2 schools, and we plan to extend this project further.
● Digitizing Education, Accelerating Learning (DEAL)
RISE will distribute digital learning material for students studying in 10th grade. This project is financially supported by Rotary Club of Nagpur.
Indigenous communities have shared a wealth of cultural, ecological, and agricultural knowledge that plays a pivotal role in preserving biodiversity, safeguarding natural resources, and bolstering food security. Traditional farming methods offer a range of benefits, such as enhancing community health and nutrition, supporting livelihoods and food security, and contributing to environmental, cultural, and social upliftment. ● Seva-Earth (Krushi Panchayat)
Melghat is known for sever malnourishment. Krushi panchayat effort encourages community to grow traditional nutritious vegetables and grains, enabling source of nourishment, self-reliance, sustainability and revival of traditional seeds.
● Grain Bank
To preserve and utilize traditional crops, seed banks have been established by collecting local variants of food grains and wild vegetables. The effort has been extended to research on 218 medicinal plants through smriti van initiative.

● Badi (Traditional Nutrition Garden)
RISE strongly believes that malnourishment is not only results due to lack of healthcare facilities and chemical supplement, but it arises due to changing agricultural pattern, methods, techniques, etc. From past ten years, to combat persistent problem of malnourishment, RISE encourages household nutrition gardens that can provide nutritious traditional fruits and vegetables, without major economic costs and improving health.
Tribal communities are an integral part of rural society. Their active contribution and participation is necessary for sustainable development and prosperity. RISE endeavours to achieve this with the help of,
● Yuva Melghat
It comprises of young villagers who communicate, collaborate and create an opportunity for welfare of villagers, eventually contributing to village development.
They utilize the state and central government schemes to accomplish this. Awareness about government schemes is important for potential beneficiaries to avail the schemes.
Such ‘village messengers’ have increased their network beyond village boundaries, connecting more youths across villages with the cause.

● Udyog Setu
Financial empowerment ensures sustainable rural development. Under this project RISE aims to provide financial assistance, legal assistance, guidance and required resources for encouraging entrepreneurship. Melghat chapter of this project runs as Melghat katta.
Gopalan, natural farming, handicrafts like wood work, lacquer work, fabric work, stone carving, etc. has been the source of livelihood for tribal communities. These sources hold significant knowledge about nature, artistic vision, and cultural heritage. Healthcare has been a difficult service due to geographical remoteness, limited infrastructure, language and cultural barriers, restricted access to healthcare professionals, socioeconomic disparities, and the lack of awareness. Know More
● Melghat Arogya Setu
Continuous research in this regard is going on in multiple tribal areas like Satpura, Chhattisgarh, Assam, etc.
Primary focus is on incorporating traditional medicinal knowledge with modern medical advancements.

expectant mothers in 50 villages.
Covering 2389 km across 34 villages, the program educated tribal patients on nutrition and ensured healthcare access.

Disasters affect not only physical but mental health. At such times, RISE provides material assistance, informational assistance, medical assistance as well as counselling.
